Sportster S parts: passenger kit or solo luggage?

On the Sportster S, a passenger seat and a swingarm bag are competing choices: Harley excludes its single-sided bag from bikes with passenger accommodation. Sort that out before buying either. We list RH1250S parts for 2021–2026, but two useful riding-position changes have narrower fitment. Check these limits before choosing handlebars.

The pillion needs more than a seat

With the original solo seat, choose Passenger Pillion 52400271. It includes the rear fender extension, but passenger support 50502192A, footpegs and footpeg hardware are separate. Wild One passenger pegs 50502026 are a listed pairing; make sure you select passenger rather than rider footpegs.

Changing the rider seat too? Sundowner solo 52000510 pairs with Sundowner pillion 52400251, with the same separate passenger supports and pegs. Start with the solo seats and match the pillion to the seat you actually have.

Backrest 52300715 fits behind the original-seat pillion 52400271. It is a passenger backrest, not a support for luggage strapped behind you.

The swingarm bag is a solo setup

Single-Sided Swingarm Bag 90202530 needs the Sportster S support 90202533, bought separately. Its fitment excludes passenger accommodation, so do not combine it with the pillion setup above. The standard Nightster uses the same bag with a different support, 90202532.

Screen and grips: check what's included

Compact windshield 57400459 is specific to the Sportster S and comes with its quick-release fork clamps and mounting hardware. You do not need a separate docking kit for that screen; find it under windscreens.

Tactical heated grips 56100401 need a Digital Tech update by a Harley-Davidson dealer on the Sportster S. Include that visit when planning the job; the same requirement applies to the Nightster Special. Compare hand grips with that extra step in mind.
