Tri Glide Ultra parts: an Electra Glide up front, a trike behind

The Tri Glide Ultra is listed for 2009 to 2025 under one code, FLHTCUTG. In the parts book it is mostly an Electra Glide: 764 of its 802 genuine parts also fit the Ultra Limited. Most of the 38 that don't are what makes it a trike: wheels, trunk and fender kit, rear shocks and the backrest hardware.

Where the Ultra Limited answer is wrong

The backrest pads are shared, rider backrest 52300732 or adjustable 52300731, but the mounts are not. H-D says the Ultra Limited's kits 52589-09B and 52596-09A do not fit trike models. A Tri Glide takes mounting kit 52300642 for the fixed backrest or 54099-10 for the adjustable one. None of the Ultra Limited's four rear shocks is listed for the Tri Glide, and H-D says 54000159 and the Profile Low 54635-09 do not fit trike models. The trike's own hand-adjustable pair, 54000165, is listed for 2014 to 2018 only.

The trike set

Wheels come as a 19 in. front with an 18 in. or 15 in. rear. The Roulette pairs, black 43301047 with 40901028 or contrast cut 43301048 with 40901029, are listed for every year. The Tomahawk pair, 43300942 and 40900651, starts at 2019, and the front needs two tower-mount rotors 41500094; H-D's listing names a tyre for each wheel too. Chrome Enforcers 43300324 and 40900070 are for trikes without TPMS. Behind the seat sit trunk guards 49000303 and 83825-09C, which H-D excludes from the Freewheeler and the Road Glide 3; the Air Wing fender rail 61400058; and Tri Glide passenger armrests 52400106, which don't go with the Boom! trike speaker kit 76000618.

The year lines

• 2014. 122 parts new, 59 dropped. All 6 older screens go and 11 Batwing screens arrive, the 15 in. 57400224 the tallest; the colour-matched inner fairing 57000388DH starts here.
• 2017. Milwaukee-Eight: 73 new, 67 dropped, mostly engine covers, trim and Screamin' Eagle parts. No seat, luggage or wheel moves.
• After 2023. All 7 genuine handlebars, Fused 55801005 included, stop at 2023: none is listed for a 2024 or 2025 Tri Glide.
