Fat Bob parts: Dyna or Softail decides nearly everything

About 2,500 Fat Bobs are taxed in the UK and 1,200 more are on SORN. Only 20 were registered new in 2025 and the bike is no longer sold, so everything for it now comes from the parts book, which splits it by frame.

The 107 and the 114 share one list except for one part: 593 genuine parts on the 107 and 592 on the 114, because the Screamin’ Eagle 131 Stage IV kit 92500095 is listed for the 107 only. Go by the logbook. A 2009 or 2010 CVO Fat Bob uses the Dyna page’s parts, year-checked.

What crosses 2018, and what doesn’t

Harley took the Fat Bob off the Dyna frame for 2018. Across the two generations we list 813 genuine parts and only 320 fit both. No seat, backrest, rack, bag, screen, gauge, grip or lever crosses: the 2018-on bike’s 45 hand grips and three lever kits fit no Dyna. What does cross is service items, shifter pegs, brake rotors, axle nut covers and locks.

Sissy bar, then docking kit, then rack

The HoldFast uprights for this bike, 52300454 (standard) and 52300456 (short), are gloss black only and fit nothing but a Fat Bob. They need docking kit 52300645 (chrome) or 52300646 (black), the Street Bob kit, not the Fat Boy and Breakout one, and the upright listing never says so. The Sport rack, 50300130B or 50300131B, bolts to the upright, so choose the sissy bar first and the luggage rack last.

Made only for the Fat Bob

Nine genuine parts fit this bike and nothing else: the two uprights, the Sundowner seat 52000349, the Reach two-up 52000353, the Bevel pillion 52400197, the Wind Splitter compact screens 57400330 (15 inches) and 57400324 (19), the pop-up fuel cap 61100136 and the satin black collector shield 65400481.

What Harley doesn’t list

No genuine handlebar, solo seat, forward controls, wheel, tyre or exhaust exists for the 2018-on Fat Bob, so those categories are aftermarket: under risers it is two genuine against more than 300. The mid-controls kit 50502040 is the brake side only. And the Willie G skull footpegs 50370-04 that fit a Fat Boy or a Dyna Fat Bob do not fit here: this bike takes the small pattern, such as the Empire 50501898.

Two year checks

A 2018 bike takes 35 derby covers and a 2019-on bike 22, on hardware kit 12600259. Any accessory front axle nut cover needs kit 43000159 on this bike’s inverted forks; the Street Bob takes 43000090 for the same covers. Nothing else moves through to 2024.

Close relatives

By count the Breakout is closest: 557 of its 639 genuine parts fit a Fat Bob, and the Street Bob and Fat Boy each share 557 with the Fat Bob too, out of longer lists. But the front end is shared with the Low Rider S and the Sport Glide instead: the inverted-fork DLC tubes 45500920 under suspension kits are listed for the Fat Bob and the Low Rider S and ST, not the Street Bob, Fat Boy or Breakout, and the Sport rack and mid-controls kit follow the same pattern.
