Putoline were founded in Heiloo, Netherlands in 1970 by Jan Put — a former Dutch 50cc cross and enduro champion who understood what motorcycle engines actually need from their oil. The brand pioneered bike-specific formulations tailored to individual motorcycle brands and now offer the world's largest range of motorcycle lubricants with their N-TECH additive technology.

Acquired by Kroon-Oil in 2008 but maintaining the same dedicated focus. Products cover engines, transmissions, and primary drives — formulated for two-wheeled requirements, not adapted from automotive ranges.
