If you are looking for that classic custom profile, this 2.2-gallon axed gas tank is a solid choice for your next project. It features universal mounting tabs for easier installation on a variety of frames. The tank is designed with a right-side bung for 3/8" NPT threaded petcocks and a left-side 1/2"-20 threaded bung that serves as a convenient drain plug for winter storage. It accepts pre-1983 bayonet-style gas caps and measures approximately 14.75 inches long by 7.75 inches wide. As with any custom tank, we always recommend pressure testing, sealing, and test-fitting before you send it off for paint. This MCS unit, identified by part number 954513, comes with a temporary storage coating to prevent rust until you are ready to finish it.
