For 1986 to 2003 XL models, you can bore out your stock cylinders and drop these right in. The piston weight is engineered to match the stock components, so you won't need to worry about rebalancing the bottom end. It is a proven way to see a massive power increase, often around 26% on 883 models. Please note that while this fits 1986 to 2022 XL883 models when converted, 2004 and later bikes require 1200cc cylinders as the stock 883 liners are too thin to bore.
