For the early 5-speed Big Twins produced between late 1984 and 1989, these Alto steel drive plates are a perfect fit. This kit consists of seven steel drive plates, each manufactured to a thickness of 0.047 inches or 1.2mm. These plates are designed to meet the exact specifications of the original equipment, serving as a direct replacement for OEM 37975-84A. They are compatible with FX, FXR, Softail, and Touring models from this era. When rebuilding your clutch, using a complete set of fresh steel plates ensures that the stack height is correct and the friction surfaces are perfectly flat, preventing the dragging or slipping issues common with warped or worn-out plates.
