When your stock starter begins to struggle, these Denso OSGR style high-torque units are a significant upgrade. Built entirely from new components to exacting standards, this motor replaces the original 1.2 kW unit with a more powerful 1.4 kW or 1.8 kW output, making it ideal for Big Twin models from 1989 to present, including Dyna, FXR, Softail, and Touring bikes. This particular version comes in a plain finish but includes a chrome solenoid cover and chrome thru-bolts for a clean look. It features hardened intermediate gears for durability and carries a lifetime warranty on the starter clutch when used with a stock engine. It is a direct replacement for OEM 31558-90.
