Simpson came out of motorsport safety — Bill Simpson founded the company in 1958 and they were already serious in racing before launching the RX-1 motorcycle lid in 1979. The angular Star Wars-meets-stormtrooper aesthetic is the calling card; The Stig wears one on Top Gear, which tells you the look is hard to confuse with anything else.

Now headquartered in Texas with Italian production capability after the 2015 Stilo acquisition. DOT and ECE-certified across the range, so they're road-legal here, not just American spec.
