About This Product
The S&S tapered pinion shaft is a high-precision replacement for 1958 to 1981 Big Twin engines. This shaft is responsible for driving the cam gears and oil pump, making its structural integrity and dimensional accuracy paramount. S&S produces these shafts from heat-treated steel to resist wear and twisting under load. The tapered design ensures a secure fit within the flywheel assembly, providing a stable foundation for the engine's timing system. Sold as a kit.
