This particular version uses 5/16-inch mounting bolts and is designed to fit all generator-style engines along with 1986 to 1990 XL Sportster motors. Being an engine-mounted filter, it allows you to plumb in an oil cooler with a minimum amount of hose, keeping the setup clean and efficient. It is machined to accept your stock oil pressure switch, so you don't lose that vital dashboard feedback. It is a great way to protect your bottom end.
