These Hastings piston rings are designed for 1929 to 1949 45-inch Flathead models that have been bored .040 inches over. This set is intended for use with early-style pistons that utilize a one-piece cast iron oil ring. The kit features parkerized cast gray iron construction for both the compression and oil rings, ensuring excellent wear characteristics and a proper seal in vintage cylinders. The compression rings measure 3/32 inches in height, while the oil ring is 1/8 inch. These rings are not compatible with the later 1950 to 1973 pistons that use thinner rings and three-piece oil control sets. Sold as a pair, they are an essential component for any high-quality Flathead engine restoration.
