This James Gaskets oil seal is designed to fit the backside of the inner primary cover, where it provides a critical seal for the starter shaft. It is a direct replacement for OEM part number 12053A and is specifically designed for 1989 to 1993 Harley-Davidson Big Twin models. James Gaskets are manufactured to meet or exceed factory specifications, ensuring a tight seal that prevents primary fluid from leaking around the starter engagement area. It is a small but vital component to replace whenever you have the inner primary removed for service to prevent annoying drips and maintain proper fluid levels.
