This S&S air cleaner backplate spacer kit is designed for 1984 to 1991 Evolution Big Twin models with crankcase venting. It is intended for use when a 1-inch aluminum spacer block has been installed between a Super E or G carburetor and the manifold. This kit provides the necessary 1-inch spacers and mounting hardware to correctly position the air cleaner backplate relative to the cylinder head, ensuring a proper fit and alignment. Please note that this kit is not compatible with 1992 to 1999 head-vented engines. It is a simple, effective solution for maintaining correct intake geometry on early Evo models with modified carb spacing.
