JIMS Powerglide hydraulic tappets are a massive upgrade over stock components for 1991 to 1999 Sportster and Buell models. This standard .9035 inch outside diameter tappet is a direct replacement for OEM 18526-89. Each unit features a billet steel body and a hand-honed hydraulic cavity with an oil-fed axle for superior lubrication. These are clearanced for high-lift cams up to .700 inch, though you should always check clearances during assembly. By eliminating the shock absorber syndrome common in factory units, these tappets ensure the valves stay open exactly as the cam intended, preventing power loss.
