About This Product
Andrews' close-ratio third gear set replaces the stock 1.23 ratio with a tighter 1.35 for late 1976–1986 four-speed Big Twin transmissions. This closer spacing keeps the engine in its power band between second and third gear, improving acceleration and making the gearbox feel more responsive. The set includes all required gears for the swap. Sold as a set. A straightforward transmission upgrade that pairs well with other Andrews close-ratio gear sets for a fully optimised four-speed box on your Shovelhead or early Evolution Big Twin.
