About This Product
Andrews J-grind cam for 74-inch Shovelhead motors from 1978 to 1984. This profile keeps the torque curve flat and predictable across the mid-range. It drops into the gearcase and mates with the standard cam drive. Pull the lifters first and inspect the foot faces for pitting or concave wear. Knock out the old cam bearing if it feels rough and press in a fresh one. Pack the lobes and journals with assembly lube before start-up. Vary the rpm during the first twenty minutes to bed the lobes in. Sold individually.
