About This Product
The Andrews 1-grind camshaft is the low-compression version of the popular A cam, delivering 0.450-inch valve lift on Panhead engines and 0.427 inches on Shovelheads. It fits 1948–1965 Panhead and 1966–1969 early Shovelhead motors equipped with low-compression pistons at 8:1 or below. The reduced cam duration is specifically calculated to improve performance on lower-compression engines, where a standard A-grind would lose effectiveness. If your Panhead or early Shovelhead runs low-compression pistons and you want the A cam's character tailored to that setup, this is the correct grind.
