The Andrews 2 grind camshaft is specifically engineered for low compression engines, typically those running 8:1 compression or less. It serves as the low-compression counterpart to the famous Andrews B cam, offering a high lift of .512 inches for Panheads and .490 inches for Shovelheads. By combining this high lift with a shorter duration, Andrews has created a cam that significantly improves performance and throttle response without needing high-compression pistons. This cam fits 1948 to 1965 Panhead models and 1966 to 1969 Shovelhead models when equipped with low compression pistons. It is an excellent choice for riders looking to wake up an older motor while maintaining reliability and ease of starting on modern pump gas.
