This Andrews Y-grind cam set is designed for late 1984 to 1985 Sportster models equipped with an alternator. These cams are sold as a set and offer a .425-inch valve lift, which is the highest lift you can get for these bikes without needing additional head work. It is a true bolt-in hot street setup that delivers excellent mid-range and upper-end power. For the best results, your compression ratio should be between 9:1 and 10:1. You can safely use these with stock valve springs, making them a straightforward performance upgrade. Please note that because these are specifically for alternator-equipped models, they do not include generator drive gears.
