This James Gaskets sprocket shaft oil seal kit is an essential part of any bottom-end overhaul for 1940 to 1954 Big Twin OHV and Flathead models, excluding 45-inch and K models. The kit includes a high-quality oil seal and the necessary bearing shim to ensure a leak-free seal on the drive side of the crankcase. It can also be used on modified 1936 to 1939 cases. This kit is a direct replacement for OEM 24776-40 and the earlier 421-40, providing the reliable sealing performance James Gaskets is known for in the vintage Harley community.
