About This Product
Andrews C-ratio fourth gear set for late 1984 to 1990 XL Sportster four-speed transmissions. The set includes an 18-tooth fourth-gear mainshaft and a 26-tooth fourth-gear countershaft. It replaces the stock 17/27-tooth ratio used on late 1984 to 1986 models. This swap gives higher RPM in top gear and tighter shift spacing. Note that 1987 to 1990 XL models already run the 26/18 ratio as standard. Manufactured in the USA from high-alloy nickel steel. Ground to precise dimensions, heat treated, and shot-peened.
