This is the Halder 80mm soft metal insert for a Simplex mallet. It rates five out of five for hardness. The face is silver-coloured and heat-resistant. It weighs 855 grams. Do not fit it in an aluminium hammer head housing. Use it in a cast steel housing only. It is sold individually. That weight shifts heavy parts during assembly and disassembly work.
