This MCS 24-tooth transmission sprocket fits 1980–1985 four-speed Big Twin models. Changing the front sprocket tooth count is one of the quickest ways to adjust your overall gearing. A 24-tooth count lowers engine revs at cruising speed compared to smaller sprockets, which can make longer rides more comfortable. If your current sprocket shows hooked, sharpened, or unevenly worn teeth, it is time for a replacement — worn sprockets accelerate chain wear and can cause skipping under load. A simple, cost-effective drivetrain service part.
