About This Product
This MCS idler gear shaft replaces OEM 25791-36. It fits 1936 to 1969 Big Twin models. The shaft locates the idler gear in the timing chest and sets the mesh with the rest of the gear train. Wear here shows up as rattling or erratic ignition timing. Fit this during an engine overhaul to restore factory clearances. It is a stock-style replacement that drops in without drama. Check the gear bore and the bush before you button the case up.
