George's Garage clutch spring compressor compresses the clutch spring so you can remove the retaining ring safely. It fits 1990 to 1997 Big Twins, 1991 to 2022 Sportster XL, and 1995 to 2001 Buell models. If you are working on a Sportster, order the 979430 adapter separately. Do not try to pry the spring down with screwdrivers. The plate can slip and launch parts across the shop. Use the compressor.
