About This Product
These PTFE-lined valve guide seals from Kibblewhite are a great choice for vintage Panhead and Shovelhead builds where you want a modern seal without machining the guides. Sold as a set of four, they fit 1948 to 1965 Panheads and 1966 to early 1979 Shovelhead models. Because PTFE doesn't have memory like Viton, these seals require a bit of finesse during installation. They are designed to be about 0.020" smaller than the stem to ensure a tight fit as the material conforms to the surfaces. I recommend using a 12mm socket to gently seat them and an installation protector over the valve stem to prevent tearing the sealing area during assembly.
