About This Product
This Motogadget tachometer sensor is designed to provide an RPM signal for digital tachometers on motorcycles where a traditional coil attachment is unavailable. It installs easily onto any suppression core spark plug wire using the included cable ties, picking up the ignition current spike to drive the instrument. This sensor is particularly useful for Harley-Davidson models using CDI or magneto ignitions. Motogadget recommends this sensor for use with their digital stepper motor driven tachometers. Note that it must be used with interference suppression spark plugs or caps and is not waterproof, requiring careful placement within the motorcycle's electrical layout.
