This rubber cable boot fits all Harley-Davidson models from 1973 through 1999 that use a front wheel driven speedometer. Sold as a pack of 10, these boots are a direct replacement for OEM 66996-85T. They slide over the connection point to seal out moisture, road salt, and grit, which are the primary causes of seized cables and stripped drive gears. It is a small, inexpensive part that can save you a lot of hassle and expense down the road.
