These MCS lower valve spring collars are steel replacements for Shovelhead motors from 1980 through early 1981. They replace OEM part number 18222-79. They are standard and USA-made. You need them for a standard top-end refresh. They handle the mechanical stresses of the valvetrain and hold the valve springs where they should sit. Sold as a set of four. Part number 910516.
