This MCS flange nut is designed specifically for the swingarm pivot shaft on Softail models. Featuring a 5/8-11 thread pitch, this nut provides the heavy-duty clamping force required to secure the rear swingarm to the frame. It is compatible with 2000 to 2017 Softail models and serves as a direct replacement for OEM part number 7479. The flanged design helps distribute the load more evenly across the mounting surface, preventing loosening due to road vibration. When you are performing a swingarm service or replacing the pivot shaft, using a fresh nut is highly recommended to ensure the threads are clean and the locking integrity is maintained. It is a critical fastener for rear-end stability.
