These bronze flywheel thrust washers from MCS are designed for high-performance bottom-end builds where durability is key. Intended for use with steel retainers, these washers sit between the connecting rods and the flywheels to manage lateral movement. They fit late 1979 to early 1986 XL models equipped with steel retainers, as well as all late 1986 to 1999 XL Sportster models. Replacing OEM 6508 and 966508, these bronze washers offer excellent wear resistance compared to standard materials. They are sold as a pair, providing exactly what you need to refresh both sides of the rod assembly during a crank rebuild.
