About This Product
This feed pump vane spring is a small but mighty part of the lubrication system on vintage Harleys. It provides the necessary tension to keep the pump vanes working effectively against the pump body. It fits 1937 to 1973 45" Sidevalve models as well as the larger 1937 to 1948 74" and 80" Big Twin Sidevalves. Produced by MCS, this spring replaces OEM 26286-37 and is also listed under part number 971227. Because these are easy to lose or fatigue over decades of use, they are sold in a convenient pack of 10. It is a must-have for any oil pump overhaul.
