For those working on a later Ironhead, this MCS cylinder sleeve is the right tool for the job when your stock cylinders need a new lease on life. It features a 3.188-inch stock bore and is designed to fit late 1973 to 1985 61 cubic inch XL1000 Sportster models. These liners are used to save stock cylinders that might otherwise be destined for the scrap heap. As with any major engine work, the technician must be able to judge the suitability of the parts and make precise adjustments during installation.
