About This Product
This MCS solid-state 12-volt voltage regulator is a smart upgrade for vintage Harley-Davidson charging systems. Finished in black with cooling fins, it replaces the early mechanical or late electronic regulators that were originally mounted separately. This unit mounts directly to the generator in place of the stock end cover, cleaning up the look of your bike while providing modern, reliable voltage regulation. It even includes an armature support needle bearing for a complete installation. This regulator fits 1965 to 1969 Big Twins and 1965 to 1977 Sportster models, naturally replacing OEM part number 978651 for a factory-style fit with modern performance.
