Converting your early Evolution engine to solid lifters is a classic move for high-performance builds, and these hydraulic tappet de-activators make the job straightforward. This kit is designed specifically to fit the stock hydraulic tappets found in 1984 to early 1985 Evo Big Twin models. By de-activating the hydraulic unit, you effectively turn them into solid lifters, which is often preferred for more aggressive cam profiles. Keep in mind that once these are installed, you will need to use adjustable pushrods to set your clearances correctly. They are a direct replacement for OEM 18500-84 and are sold as a pack of 4, giving you everything you need to convert a full set of lifters.
