Cometic’s EST rocker cover gasket kit is built for Evolution Sportster engines, sold as a set to cover both cylinders. The embossed stainless steel substrate is coated with proprietary high-temperature rubber on both sides, measuring .020" thick with a .005" rubber layer that creates a superior seal between metal surfaces. Unlike cork or paper gaskets, these will not weep, extrude, tear or turn brittle after years of heat cycles. They are a direct replacement for Harley-Davidson OEM reference 17030-89 and fit 1986–1990 XL Sportster models perfectly.
