This Athena motor gasket kit is designed for a thorough engine overhaul on 1977 to 1981 XL1000 Sportster models with a 3-3/16 inch bore. The kit includes 0.5mm copper cylinder head gaskets and 0.75mm reinforced fiber cylinder base gaskets for a reliable seal. It also features a 0.75mm thick reinforced fiber primary cover gasket with a silicone bead to prevent leaks. While this kit does not include oil seals, it is otherwise complete with all necessary gaskets and O-rings for the engine. It serves as a replacement for the 17024-71 gasket kit, providing the essential components for a clean and professional engine build on these classic Ironhead Sportsters.
