Made from 0.031-inch fiber-reinforced paper, it provides a durable seal for 1967 to 1980 XL Sportster models, excluding 1970 to early 1979 XLCH versions. It is a direct replacement for OEM part number 31471-67A. The reinforced paper construction is designed to handle the mechanical stresses and oil exposure found in the starter drive area. Keeping this housing sealed is essential for protecting the starter components and keeping the primary oil where it belongs. These gaskets are sold in a pack of ten.
