Belt Drives Ltd. washer fits under the engine nut on BDL front pulley systems for tapered engine shafts. It fits 1937 to 1954 Big Twin models equipped with a BDL belt drive. The washer spreads the clamping load across the pulley face. Do not omit it or substitute a standard flat washer. You need this washer when fitting or servicing a BDL open or closed belt drive system.
