About This Product
If you are working on a 4-speed Big Twin transmission, this Andrews mainshaft is the gold standard for replacements. It fits a variety of FX and Softail models and is manufactured from aircraft-grade alloy steel. Every shaft is heat treated and finish ground to ensure it meets exact tolerances for a smooth, reliable operation. It replaces OEM 35039-85. Just a quick tip from the bench: if you are installing this on a late 1984 FXST, you must use an OEM 37523-85 clutch hub key to get everything lined up correctly. It is a rugged piece of kit designed to outlast the original factory components and handle the torque of a Big Twin.
