About This Product
Zodiac starter shaft for Big Twin, FX, and Softail models. Replaces OEM 31482-70. This shaft transmits drive from the starter motor to the drivetrain. Worn splines cause grinding or failure to turn the engine over. Fit this during a primary service or starter rebuild. Torque the nut to spec and check end float. It is a straightforward swap once you have the primary cover off.
