The Zipper’s 5-speed pushrod cover conversion kit is a practical upgrade for Sportster and Buell owners who want easier access to their valvetrain. On stock 5-speed engines, adjusting pushrods usually requires removing the cylinder heads to clear the one-piece covers. This kit replaces those with telescoping, chrome-plated covers, allowing for quick adjustments without major teardowns. It fits 1991–2003 Sportster and Buell models using billet aluminum bases and special seals, as well as 2004–2022 XL Sportster and XR 1200 models using the factory lifter bases. This conversion is essential when installing adjustable pushrods for performance tuning or maintenance. It is a time-saving solution that brings the convenience of earlier-style telescoping covers to modern Sportster engines.
