That is a Mikuni brass pilot jet, size #40. It is a direct replacement for the pilot jet in Mikuni HSR carburettors on Harley-Davidson intake setups. This jet meters fuel at idle and low throttle. Fit it when the original is worn or when altitude and temperature shifts demand a recalibration. Genuine Mikuni part. Brass construction. Keep the threads clean and do not overtighten it in the carburettor body.
