About This Product
If you are tired of your big-inch motor struggling to turn over, the Compu-Fire Gen III starter motor is the solution. This unit uses Neodymium Rare Earth permanent magnets instead of traditional field coils, which significantly reduces the amperage draw on your battery while providing massive cranking power. With a 6:1 gear ratio, it only pulls 175 Amps, meaning you do not necessarily need a massive battery to start a high-compression engine. It features a polished billet body with a chrome finish and uses three planetary gears for true center shaft alignment. This starter fits Dyna, FXR, Softail, and Touring models and is highly recommended for pre-2007 fuel-injected bikes with stock engines.
