Kibblewhite valve spring spacing shims adjust valve spring installed height. You add or remove them to reach the correct pressure and prevent valve float. Measure the height with a gauge before you assemble the motor. Stack shims as needed. Check the maths twice. The wrong height will cost power and can damage the valvetrain. Keep several sizes in your toolbox.
