Kibblewhite valve spring spacing shims take up clearance between the valve spring and its seat. They set the installed height so the spring operates at the correct pressure. Measure each location with a height gauge. Stack shims as needed. Do not guess the height or the valves will float. Verify the spring pressure before you finish the assembly.
