If you want to make your Shovelhead growl again, these S&S cylinder heads are the ultimate upgrade. Sold as a set for front and rear, these heads are fully assembled with premium components, including valve seats, guides, seals, and springs capable of handling up to .590 inch lift. They are designed to fit Shovelhead Big Twin, FX, FXR, Softail, and Touring models. S&S improved the design by using 5/16-18 hex-head bolts for the rocker boxes instead of stock studs, and they feature a directional vane in the intake port for better flow. These heads are compatible with stock intake manifolds and exhausts, making installation straightforward. Whether you have a 1966–1978 O-ring style or a 1979–1984 rubber band style manifold, these heads provide modern durability for today’s fuels.
