Restoring a classic Shovelhead-era FX requires the right hardware, and this gas tank mounting kit from V-Twin provides everything needed to secure a stock one-piece tank. Designed specifically for FX models from 1973 to 1984, the kit is a complete solution that includes the large horseshoe mount (OEM 61139-73), the essential spring (OEM 61550-73), and the retaining clip (OEM 61546-74). To ensure proper vibration isolation and fitment, it also comes with the rubber bushing (OEM 62123-66) and the cup bumper (OEM 61562-66). Using these correct-specification components prevents tank cracking and ensures your fuel system stays firmly in place, maintaining the original factory setup for your vintage Harley-Davidson FX.
