About This Product
The American Prime Manufacturing advance unit is a precision-engineered ignition component designed to ensure smooth idle and responsive throttle performance. The assembly features a stainless steel shaft and plate machined to exacting tolerances for consistent operation. The weights are heat-treated and finished with a high-tech polymer coating, secured by durable stainless steel pins. For reliable timing advancement, the unit utilizes springs made from phosphate-coated, tempered music wire that are heat-treated and white-plated for long-term durability. This mechanical advance unit is compatible with traditional points systems as well as various electronic ignitions, such as the Dyna S and Daytona TwinTec VT-I. Please note that the cam is not included with this assembly.
